Dear LISA West Middle School Families,

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our students and staff.

First and foremost, congratulations to our outstanding STEM Fest and Science Olympiad participants! Your innovation, teamwork, and dedication have truly set you apart. We are so proud of all the hard work and passion you’ve shown in representing West Middle at such a high level. A huge thank you to our dedicated teacher sponsors for their support and leadership throughout the journey—your efforts do not go unnoticed!

With only a few weeks left of school, we are also gearing up for ATLAS testing, which begins in the next two weeks. These summative assessments are an important part of measuring the academic growth our students have made this year. To help your child feel confident and prepared, here are a few key strategies:

• Get plenty of rest the night before testing

• Eat a healthy breakfast each morning

• Arrive on time and ready to focus

• Take time to review notes and classroom materials

• Encourage a positive mindset—they’ve got this!

To all our students: Good luck! We believe in you, and we know you will shine. You’ve worked hard all year, and this is your time to show what you know.

We are also thrilled for our upcoming Multicultural Festival, a true celebration of the rich diversity that makes our school community so special. From dancing and music to food and art, we can’t wait to see the stunning performances and to recognize the efforts of the many students and staff members who have been working so hard to prepare. It’s going to be a spectacular event!

As we look ahead to the end of the year, let’s continue to lift each other up, celebrate our achievements, and finish strong. After all, we are truly the best in the West!

A medida que nos acercamos a la recta final del año escolar, quiero tomar un momento para reconocer y celebrar los increíbles logros de nuestros estudiantes y personal.

En primer lugar, ¡felicitaciones a nuestros destacados participantes del STEM Fest y de la Olimpiada de Ciencias! Su innovación, trabajo en equipo y dedicación realmente los han hecho sobresalir. Estamos muy orgullosos de todo el esfuerzo y la pasión que han demostrado al representar a West Middle a un nivel tan alto. ¡Un enorme agradecimiento a nuestros dedicados maestros patrocinadores por su apoyo y liderazgo durante todo el proceso! Sus esfuerzos no pasan desapercibidos.

Con solo unas semanas restantes del ciclo escolar, también nos estamos preparando para las pruebas ATLAS, que comenzarán en las próximas dos semanas. Estas evaluaciones sumativas son una parte importante para medir el crecimiento académico que nuestros estudiantes han logrado este año. Para ayudar a que su hijo(a) se sienta confiado(a) y preparado(a), aquí hay algunas estrategias clave:

• Llegar a tiempo y listo(a) para concentrarse

• Tomarse el tiempo para repasar notas y materiales de clase

• Fomentar una actitud positiva — ¡sí pueden!

A todos nuestros estudiantes: ¡Mucha suerte! Creemos en ustedes, y sabemos que brillarán. Han trabajado arduamente todo el año, y este es su momento para demostrar todo lo que saben.

También estamos emocionados por nuestro próximo Festival Multicultural, una verdadera celebración de la rica diversidad que hace que nuestra comunidad escolar sea tan especial. Desde el baile y la música hasta la comida y el arte, estamos ansiosos por ver las presentaciones impresionantes y reconocer el esfuerzo de los muchos estudiantes y miembros del personal que han trabajado con tanto entusiasmo para prepararse. ¡Será un evento espectacular!
